Walter Cannon

Walter Cannon, a radio veteran began his career in 1983, interning at WBMX Radio Station in Oak Park, Chicago (Doug Banks & Company) and as a co-producer and understudy for Radio Legend, Richard Pegue and is credited with co-writing the popular " Fly-Jock" theme song for the Tom Joyner Afternoon Show on WGCI, Chicago Illinois.

      Walter had been employed with Crawford Broadcasting since 2006 until his departure in 2019; his role as a local producer is impressive, having produced the highly successful national radio shows like The Michael Baisden, Dave Ramsey, Warren Balentine and Dl Hughley shows!

 

Walter was also the executive producer for radio legend Jim Raggs Steppers show and Sunday Morning Memories, classic oldies show. Walter attributes this journey, as an ever learning student of radio to the late Shelby Moore formally of The Family Affairs Show on WSRB SOUL 106.3

      Walter Cannon is highly skilled and knows his way around radio stations and brings a wealth of talent, experience and overall know how in developing show content that is both informative as well as entertaining to listeners.
